The Alliance for Global Development (AGD), based in Luxembourg city is the flourishing of a dream that our founders and the board had over two decades ago.
AGD embodies two of their desires in its name: global and development. Humanity today is at a crossroads of influences. Can development be global and still be a boon to those who need support the most?
Luxembourg’s place at the crossroads of Europe is an incentive that prodded AGD to find home here. A strong civil society that supports exchanges of ideas, influencing positive ideas to come together for the greater global good is primordial for a sustainable tomorrow.
Involving multiple partners and stakeholders ensures that more voices are heard. At AGD, we want to create alliances of the like-minded for common global causes.
The mélange of cultures and civilizations that encapsulate Europe bespeaks our need to appreciate what we have today and extend our hand to those in adversity, for together we are stronger.

We envision our projects and programmes to have a global impact, though acting locally, especially with our partners and beneficiaries.
We are focussed on addressing the axes of environment, education and sustainability at a transnational and continental level through creation of meaningful and impactful social projects, envisioning to be inclusive, cohesive while ensuring ground-level empowerment.

Development is at the core of every activity that is undertaken by AGD in each of its programmes. To measure our impact, we inspire and guide ourselves through the UNSDGs.
